PILATES Matwork Group Classes
These small group classes (max 13 people) are friendly and personal with a relaxed atmosphere. You will learn to strengthen your whole body, especially your core muscles, improve your balance and posture, stretch out stiff spines and all in a relaxed, calming atmosphere. Classes are 1 hr long. In all classes regardless of description, there are plenty of appropriate options within the exercises for different levels of strength and mobility to keep you all suitably challenged, but still safe. Everyone is asked to bring their own mat, except to the classes in Great Shelford.

Thurs 10.40am - Chair and Standing Pilates, Contento Pilates Studio, Great Shelford
Classes are part of a monthly subscription package, billed at £38 a month, giving you access to one class a week for 38 weeks of the year. This comes with access to a library of pre-recorded classes of varying lengths to keep you moving between classes.
Reformer Pilates Group Classes
These hour-long classes take place at our own studio in Great Shelford, with a maximum of 7 in each class. Reformer Pilates uses all the same principles and techniques as Matwork Pilates, but adds spring resistance. The springs can be adjusted to tailor the exercise to just the right level for each person, so reformer pilates is not necessarily harder or easier than matwork - just different. Having said that, we do tend to get a little bit sweatier in these classes!

PREGNANCY & POSTNATAL PILATES CLASS
Pilates can be a wonderful form of exercise for both preparing for birth and helping to recover after pregnancy. Strengthening up so that you are able to run around after those little people can be so helpful, satisfying and empowering. A well thought through Pilates programme can really aid recovery from Pelvic Girdle Pain, Diastasis Recti and Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. These classes are kept small so that everyone can get plenty of attention and also so that it is easier to make friends with the other Mums and Mums-to-be. Classes are 1hr long.

These classes are booked as a course, usually six weeks long, at £120 for the reformer classes and £84 for the matwork class.
One to One Private Class
Whether you are at the start of your pilates journey, wanting to rehabilitate after an injury or looking for a challenging strength session, booking a private class at our fully equipped Pilates Studio is a brilliant investment in you and your body. Each session will be bespoke to your particular needs and goals. Booking a regular session will enable us to create a progressive bespoke pilates programme that can help you to reach your movement goals and will result in satisfying, discernible improvements. The reformer, split pedal chair, spring board and arc barrel are all fantastic pieces of large pilates equipment that use springs and/or shaping to add resistance and/or support to your movement giving you both challenge and stability.
A single 55 minute 1:1 session costs £76 and can be booked by you using the link below. Scroll through the calendar and find an orange “Private Class” with “0/1” next to it, rather than “Full 1/1,” at a time that works for you. These are paid for at time of booking and have a 24 hour cancellation policy.
